Myla Johnson, M.T.

Background and History

Myla Johnson is a Staff Accountant at Azarvand Tax Law. She assists with individual and business tax filings, and supports client accounting and bookkeeping tasks under the supervisory review of the firm’s attorneys.

Myla holds a Master of Taxation from Portland State University, having completed coursework spanning the federal income taxation of individuals and business entities, tax research and procedure, and multistate and cross-border provisions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Adamson University.

While completing her graduate degree, Myla interned with the CNMI Division of Revenue and Taxation for more than a year, giving her a working familiarity with territorial tax administration from the agency side. Her earlier experience includes roles as a Bookkeeper and an Accounting Clerk, where she built a foundation in general ledger management and financial recordkeeping, along with nearly fifteen years of operational leadership in the international maritime and gaming industries. In that work she served a global clientele spanning dozens of nationalities, an experience that shaped the cross-cultural communication skills, poise under pressure, and high-touch client service she brings to the firm’s clients today.

Outside of the office, Myla enjoys bird watching and exploring the outdoors with her husband.
