Nathaniel Kupferschmid
Director of Technology & Innovation
Background and History
Nathaniel Kupferschmid serves as the firm’s Director of Technology & Innovation, bringing over five years of Information Technology experience, with a large portion of his career dedicated specifically to cybersecurity. He specializes in endpoint security, compliance, and proactive threat prevention, combining a rigorous security-first mindset with a forward-looking approach to modern technology solutions.
Nathaniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from New England Institute of Technology and is CompTIA Security+ certified. In his role, he leads the firm’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation and security resilience, ensuring that our infrastructure, processes, and people remain ahead of an evolving threat landscape while embracing the tools and technologies that define modern, high-performing organizations.
His ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable strategies makes him a vital link between technical operations and firm leadership. At Azarvand Tax Law, the protection of client data is a foremost obligation, one that the firm holds to a standard that goes beyond what bar associations currently require. Technology has always moved faster than the regulations designed to govern it, and the rapid weaponization of artificial intelligence (AI) by malicious actors has made that gap more consequential than ever. Nathaniel’s dedicated role reflects the firm’s commitment to staying ahead of those threats, not simply responding to them.
Outside of work, Nathaniel enjoys attending air shows, aviation-focused photography, and has spent nearly two decades mountain biking and snowboarding.
