Miranda Ma, LL.M.
Law Clerk
Background and History
Miranda Ma is a Law Clerk with Azarvand Tax Law and a candidate for the bar in 2026. She earned her Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, with a 3.7 GPA, where she graduated on the Dean’s List with Distinction. She is fluent in both English and Mandarin, enabling her to effectively serve our diverse client base and navigate domestic and cross-border tax matters.
Since November 2025, Miranda has also served as a Fellow with the Commonwealth Economic Incentive Authority (CEIA), where she is actively involved in reforming tax policy from within the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. In this role, she contributes directly to the development and evaluation of incentive-based policy frameworks, conducts comparative tax analysis across jurisdictions, and works alongside policymakers to help shape more effective and equitable tax structures.
That intersection of policy and practice defines Miranda’s approach. She translates highly technical tax rules into clear, actionable guidance, and understands not just what the law says today, but how and why it changes, making her a valuable resource for our clients.
